The craenk [kɹˈaŋk] are the first BMX three piece cranks made by maegic BMX. Chromoly 48 spline axle without clamp bolt. Chromoly tubing and threads. 175mm length 9/16 pedal threads.
A particular challenge for me is building my own BMX crank. Extreme accuracy and precision are especially important here, because any inaccuracies are immediately noticeable when riding. I think the result is very good, but I still see room for improvement in the jig and in the preparation for welding. A little more precision, and you wouldn't notice that these are hand-built. I've now ridden the crank myself, and despite the lack of hardening, it still sits firmly and hasn't bent even under the toughest conditions. I'd say almost full points.
I'm always asked whether you can seriously ride my self-welded maegic [mˈæd͡ʒɪk] BMX bikes 🤷♂️ David Hoffmann tried the vaenom [ˈvɛnəm] out, even though the weight of the bike and the air pressure weren't exactly optimal for a first guard flatlander 😎
